Ahead of this year's RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year award announcement, I'm excited to reveal my own people's choice winner!
You were tasked with choosing your favourite plant from the 2025 finalists, and with over 1,400 votes counted, there was one clear winner... 🥁
With 92.2% of the vote, Miscanthus sinensis 'Lady in Red' takes home the gold! This colour changing grass won hearts with its foliage, which is green and purple in summer, and vivid red as the seasons change into autumn. Topped with silver panicle flowers, it's a real head-turner! Plus, it's low-maintenance and drought-tolerant. A great future-proof plant!
