Everyone,

I’m busy in the Netherlands this week, putting on (what we think is) the first Plant catwalk show, have a look at my Instagram to see exactly how this works, but there’s a conveyor belt involved…

So, this week, the plants you need to grow now I’ve been selected from those that I am showcasing at the fashion event for Plantline!

1. Mangave Collection

In case you’ve been living under a rock, you might know that I champion this amazing collection of plants. I even modelled for one of the labels!

A really unique hybrid, which is basically an outdoor succulent. It only grows as much as you water it, too. Excellent for drought gardening, or using indoors as a gorgeous mega low-maintenance houseplant. There are more than 60 varieties to collect as well!

2. Chrysanthemum ‘Fireworks Series’

Just know I’m sitting here gagging for chrysanthemums to go mainstream again. These little pots could really help them do the job. Do you remember many years ago, the spider chrysanthemums used to be really quite rare, I could only salivate over them in niche Japanese gardening magazines.

And, the science says, if you choose these over a bunch of flowers, they’ll probably cost the same but last twice as long!

3. Fragrant Phalaenopsis

Ever since IKEA killed the price of an orchid, we’ve been wanting to get Phalaenopsis back into the mainstream! I think these beautifully perfumed types could be just the ticket.

The fragrance is sublime; it’s like an indoor air freshener, you don’t need none of that Glade crap! A simple to grow houseplant, I think most people in the UK have now been exposed to orchid growing tips, in one way or another! You simply can’t fail…
