Whenever I check into a hotel, and they often ask me if I want breakfast the next day. I always ask them, straight on, “is it nice?” It seems like an aggressive question, but you actually get some very interesting answers. Sometimes, the staff are very honest, and say “no it’s probably not worth it”, but other times when they say it’s wonderful, I tend to agree to take it, and hope for the best.
So, I slept really well, despite being in a single bed with a too-close wall, and naturally had a lot of anticipation for breakfast. But, it was absolutely lovely. The bread was fresh and gorgeous, and there was a wonderful selection of goodies. There was a wonderful moment too, when an English woman was browsing the bananas, and turned to the very cute waiter saying “these are big bananas aren’t they?”. I don’t know why, but I laughed out loud just a little bit. But I think I styled it out. If you are that woman, and you work in the industry, I’m sorry that I just shamed you! ;)
Anyway, it was another day of botanical beauties today, and I had an early start. 8.45am, anyway. First stop, Syngenta Flowers! Hi Gerard!
