Hello guys, here’s a celebration of the plants I’m loving right now! I am either growing them at home, or I’ve seen them in garden centres or gardens that I’ve been hanging out in. I hope you get inspired…
Don’t forget to consider signing up to my regular gorgeous newsletters. I would really appreciate your support, and it will cost the same as a decaf cappuccino. If you’re someone that works in the industry, you are bound to get some new ideas, even if I say so myself.
I like to get behind the scenes with growers as well, and get some secret growing tips, which is also super handy for all you lovely home gardeners!
Pleiones!!
How are these not more widely known? This is an orchid that you can very easily grow on the windowsill, it is piss easy from a bulb, and the display is jawdropping - and believe me, a lot of plants over the years have made my jaw drop.
Richard Jackson, the iconic gardening guru, gave me these bulbs, and they sprouted within just a few days, flowering within a couple of weeks. We should definitely do more with indoor flowering bulbs. However, these are pretty much hardy outdoors in the border, so why not give some a go??

Senetti
If there is a plant that is having its moment right now, it’s these little beauties. If you’re as old as me, you will recognise them as the Cineraria of the 80s, now re-bred and rebranded…
They are incredibly useful for that period in April, when the spring bulbs are starting to fade, and summer hasn’t kicked in yet (read about that here!). Just look at this blue colour as well, and those typical daisy flowers are loved by the masses! (Who are the masses?)

Pieris
Oh my gosh, I feel another obsession coming on. These Pieris were looking so hot at the Roman Way Cherry Lane Garden Centre this week. That spring foliage, in a variety of shades - I’m really really into this soft pink, it’s almost flesh coloured (in a good way!)
A pretty durable shrub that should be grown a little bit more widely, it will appreciate a little bit of an acid soil, but has this lovely ethereal glow for your spring garden.
