Those working in industries where design is a central focus will know about Top Drawer - and for those who don’t, it’s the UK’s leading design-led trade show where you can get ahead of trends and come face to face with uber cool brands (both big and small) offering all sorts, from plant pots to pillowcases.

After a continental coffee and croissant combo, I made my way to the exhibition at Olympia London in Kensington. Immediately after walking through the doors, I was drawn in by carefully curated trend boards titled ‘grandma’s attic’ and ‘spring soirée’. There’s nothing like a catchy tagline to get me warmed up!

With hundreds of exhibitors to see, including nearly 200 making their show debut, there was a lot to take in - it really is a three-day event for a reason! However, I’ve selected 10 picks that caught my eye, which I want to highlight below…

1. Pri Pri

These are wreaths made from sari offcuts! Saris are super colourful garments, so they’re perfect for creating fun, colourful wreaths that can be hung around the home. Available from £36, they’re a great way to stop fabrics from going to waste.

2. The Colour Emporium

The world doesn’t need more sad beige candles! I love these unique and ethically made candles by Katie at The Colour Emporium - they come in many different colour combinations, including two-tone dip-dyed and marbled designs!

3. Natural & Noble

If you’re not partial to flavoured tea, look away now. But if you’re open to trying something new in your brew, these teas from Natural & Noble are infused with the flavours of British puddings - plus, they’re beautifully packaged, making a lovely gift!

4. Flod

These unique plant pots are made using plastic and glass litter collected from rivers in Sheffield. Fused together with an eco-friendly alternative to concrete called jesmonite, the pots are sturdy, individual, and available in several colourways. Each pot contains around a kilo of litter - think about how much you’re removing from the environment!
